“The Streak of Horror” has to belong to the Florida Gators as they are tormenting the Kentucky Wildcats in football. Currently the Gators are on a 30 game winning streak against the Wildcats. That number of 30 straight wins, is the longest active winning streak for one team against another opponent. This is the best chance the Wildcats will have at snapping this losing streak. Here at gusgustheguru we are going to make the bold prediction of Kentucky will beat Florida this year. Let this be a lesson to you all, no one defeats Kentucky 31 years in a row.
Florida’s non existent offense
While Florida did win the game against Tennessee yesterday, it was one of the worst executed games yesterday. When the CBS reporter asked Jim Mcelwain post game if his young quarterback (Franks) is showing to be more of a veteran, here was his response “He showed me he can throw it a long ways.”
Majority of the game yesterday, Florida only moved the ball using dink and dunk tactics. Kentucky’s defense is too good, to let that translate into major success. Unlike Tennessee, Kentucky does well at finishing fundamental tackles, and running through their opponent. The simple hitch routes, and fast screens are not going to emulate much success against the Wildcats. Franks struggles to make progressions, and read coverages pre-snap. Stoops is one of the best in the business of masking his coverages, and Franks will really struggle this game.
We have Kentucky winning an ugly defensive battle this weekend. What do you think the score will be and who will be taking home the victory this upcoming Saturday?
